Yamaha RX-V657 AV Receiver Code and Cable Woes

I have a BIG problem (or a brain not skilled enough to see the solution).

I have broken my stock remote control to the Yamaha RX-V657 and so I'm doing the thing where I just use a universal remote. Easy right? Wrong. I have identified the codes that power the device on and off, I have identified the individual buttons which did not directly translate into the remote and programmed their codes. Except for the most important one. ENTER! As far as I know, there is no hardware ENTER button on this device and I'm trapped simply modifying Treble and Bass on a 2ch Stereo output because of it.

Any Advice would be amazing. The remote is A Charter Communications issued device. Model C4000.
