Building an FI car audio Q 18" in a 4 cu foot sealed box. looking for sub amp, not a plate amp though! Open to all brands, behringer, dayton, crown, etc....
Will be added into a 2 channel system with MMG 12 powered by a cronus magnum. So I do not want to over power, but want to be able to take up the hz missed by the mmg's.
Thanks in advance!

The EP4000 is legendary around here but I would recommend a newer class D amp like an iNuke or Crown XLS. I know for the behringers that a lot of people have done fan mods to quiet them down in the home environment.

Do you want a DSP for room correction? That's a consideration in amp choice. Since you are going sealed you don't have to worry about a precise HPF, so you can pretty much pick any amp that meets your power needs, just disable the HPF.

I have 2 EP4000's in another room and love them, so I know what you are saying. I have no experience with the newer class D ones. I also think that I should go for the DSP, just in case! Now the question is which inuke or crown??? 1000, 3000, 6000?? Should I go for the max and just lower the gain?
